The Mashup App provides an Audio and Video Editor which allows you to save a entire movie or just a segment of the movei into your personal database. After you have loaded a your content into the Editor, follow these steps:

 

Saving the Entire Audio or Movie into Your Personal Database 

 

  1. Tap on the Utilities icon in the navigation bar. If you have loaded new audio content, you will be presented with these options:


    If you have loaded new video content, you will be presented with these options:



  2. Tap on "Set default categories" and provide a meaningful description for this content. If you do not set one or more default categories, then this item will be saved in the Uncategorized category.
  3. Tap on "Entire movie" or "Entire audio" to extract and save a reference to this content into your personal database.

 

Saving a Segment of a Movie or Audio into Your Perosnal Database

 

  1. Pause the player at the begining of the segment that you want to save. You can use the scrubber, press and hold the fast forward button to progress at twice the speed, or tap the fast forward button to advance in 15 seconds increments. Once you have paused. the controls will reconfigure themselves:


    The REWIND control is reconfigured into the CLIP START control allowing you to define the begining time of the clip which will be displayed below this control. The FAST FORWARD control is reconfigured into the CLIP END control allowing you to define the end time of the clip which will be displayed below this control.
  2. After you have defined both the start and end times of the clip, tap the Utilities icon in the navigation bar. If this is the first time you are extracting this clip, you will be presented with these options:

    For video content, you will be presented with these optinos:



    For audio content, you will be presented with these optinos:



  3. Tap on "Set default categories" to provide a meaningful description for this clip. If you do not set one or more default categories, then this item will be saved in the Uncategorized category.
  4. Tap on "This clip as a movie" or "This clip as audio" to extract and save this clip into your personal database.
  5. If you are re-editing this clip, you will be presented with these options for video content:


    and these options for audio content:



  6. When you load previsously save content, the player will automatically loop. Tap "Unlock clip settings" to stop looping. You can now change the start/stop times for this clip.
  7. "Update clip start/stop times" allows you to save new clip times.
  8. "Update clip poster image" allows you to change the poster image for video content. It is best to pause the player at the frame that you want to use. 
  9. "Save as a new movie clip" and "Save as a new audio clip" is similar to the "SAVE AS" menu found in software for your computer allowing you to create a new item based on this clip.
